What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is stimulation of Acupuncture points to control and regulate the flow and balance of energy of the body. Early Chinese physicians discovered there is an energy network traversing just below the surface of the skin which communicates from the exterior to the internal organs and structures at over 1,000 "Acupoints" on the body. This energy works in harmony with the body's circulatory, nervous, muscular, digestive, genitourinary and all other systems of the body. When the vital energy becomes blocked or weakened, an effect in a body system or anatomic location becomes evident. Stimulation of one or a combination of key "Acupoints" on the body may restore harmony to the affected area. We use only sterile, disposable Acupuncture needles. In our office we combine Acupuncture with non-invasive acupressure therapy for the fastest results.

Is Acupuncture painful?

Acupuncture in our office is not painful, in fact, most people find it very relaxing. We utilize a variety of methods to stimulate Acupuncture points including needles, laser, electrical stimulation and acupressure. If a person is averse to needles, the other methods of stimulation are equally effective. Pain relief is the number one use of Acupuncture. If you speak to someone who says they had Acupuncture and it was a painful experience, they probably had Acupuncture from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Doctor, and it can be a very painful experience. Dr. Woo and Dr. Yang do a Korean-style of Acupuncture which relieves pain, and doesn't cause it.

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.  Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Doctors of Chiropractic - often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians - practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as "spinal manipulation," also called "chiropractic adjustment".

What is Laser Acupuncture known as BAX-3000?

The BAX-3000 is a state-of-the-art, computerized allergen identification and clearing device that is unlike any other allergy system on the market. How Does BAX-3000 Work?

The BAX-3000 uses a technique called "immune conditioning". An allergy is nothing more than the body reacting inappropriately to what should be a harmless substance, consequently activating the body’s natural defense mechanism in the form of symptoms. Immune conditioning reverses this effect by creating a positive stimulus to condition the body to no longer react to the harmless substance—therefore not experiencing the irritating symptoms.

The BAX-3000 is completely non-invasive and is safe for all ages. It works by exposing the patient to a potential allergen in the form of a digitized allergen. This digitized allergen actually matches the harmonic frequency of the actual allergen, and fools the body into believing it is in contact with the real thing. The body, fooled into thinking it is being exposed to the allergen by the computer, will react if it is allergic to this substance.
